The Annual Tour De Shunk Century Ride
For the past several years, we've had riders from Ithaca car-pool down for this great ride. Some of us were fully satisfied with the 14% climbing on the 50-mile option. Others were thrilled with the full 100-miler. But, everyone loved the scenery, great roads, great food, and friendly atmosphere of this event. Let's do it again!

This has been held as the "President's Ride" -- a ride of many beautiful vistas in the hills east of Ithaca. Michigan Hill is also historically significant as the birthplace of John D. Rockefeller and our president will likely detour the quarter mile to view the site. 47 miles, 3,500' climbing.
Directions: Michigan Hill
For a shorter ride that visits the very beautiful Michigan Hill, get to Harford (on NY 38, 6 miles south of Dryden) and park. Then, take NY 221 east and around to Michigan Hill Rd. When Payne Marsh Rd takes you back down to NY 38, head north (right) back to Harford. NY 38 is a lovely valley road with a good shoulder to ride on.
This is the more familiar Cayuta Lake ride augmented with a ride north along the ridge through Logan, then returning via Searsburg and Trumansburg for a total of about 55 miles.
Less ambitious riders can make the ride shorter at several points:
